Press Release Body: New Free PDF site is a huge hit with online crowd.

Time was, to create a PDF file you had to jump through hoops of computer jargon not to mention pay a steep price just for the privilege. Not anymore however.

Taking the bull by the horn, a Manila-based company has decided to shatter the \"paid PDF concept\" and introduce a whole new model.

The company, FireballSoftware.com ran by Fireball Planet Corporation, currently with 3 office locations in The Philippines, Singapore and China recently launched a free PDF file converter at http://www.FreePDF.org. To emphasize the fact that the service is indeed free, visitors to the site are not required to have any business or corporate license in order to convert their documents and in fact are instructed right there on the home page on what to do in order to use the service.

Says Ian del Carmen, the company\'s CEO, \"Our company transacts a large number of deals every week, where we constantly need to convert text files and documents into PDFs. To maximize the bottom line and increase productivity, we looked around for a cost effective solution and found many products touting to offer a solution but most of them were either too expensive or lacking enough features for what we needed to do. So we launched our own product and then released it to the public after seeing how useful and cost effective it was for us.\"

To promote the free PDF service, the company imprints a small link to the site at the bottom of every PDF created à la Hotmail a few years ago and just like Hotmail, FreePDF.org has been a huge hit, with users flocking to the site to create their documents.

\"Obviously there was a hunger for exactly this type of service by the small business owners and individuals out there,\" continues Mr. del Carmen. \"We have been kept very busy the last couple weeks just trying to make sure our site doesn\'t go down from the massive traffic we\'ve been getting.\"

Users who do not want the identifying marks can upgrade to a premium service for a small contribution. The company has also launched a major initiative on the site where users who donate to the company\'s charities and donation programs listed on the page receive a free lifetime upgrade to the premium service.

The company says that most of the money collected from the premium service is donated to the charity programs.

Says Mr. del Carmen, \"It\'s a win-win situation anyway you look at it. Our users benefit from the service and our charity programs raise money for the people who need it most.\"
